This pair of 19th Century Japanese Meiji period table lamps is formed from dark brown patinated bronze vases mounted with pleated off-white fabric shades and brass stems. Each lamp has a flared rim, embossed classical relief carving across the body with inset panels depicting mythical creatures, and prominent dimensional dragon handles attached at the sides. The vases sit on square stepped bases. These table lamps measure 42 cm high, 21 cm wide and 21 cm deep.
