Description

This is a good 19th century Japanese parquetry and lacquered table cabinet from the Meiji period circa 1890 in excellent original condition. The fine geometric parquetry work is in several colourful exotic timbers and are in beautiful contrasting colours. The doors have lacquered panels with images of a bird in native pinewood to the right and an image of Mount Fuji to the left. All the brassware is intact and in good order. Internally the drawers are all again in good condition and with further beautiful parquetry work and a stunning colour.

The cabinet measures 43 high by 35 cms wide.
