Dickinsons Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
The front is further decorated with carving both applied and to the rails, which gives the piece a striking look. The ends have the same pierced lozenge panel, bordered by four applied carved rosettes.
The cupboard has been wall mounted in the past and has iron hanging brackets which can be seen in the photos.
The cupboard has had some old wood worm throughout its life, commensurate with age. Overall it is in excellent condition and has great colour and patination.
