Description:

This is a good quality pair of antique English late Victorian bedside tables, constructed from sold mahogany, circa 1870, with small proportions, in excellent original condition. The Victorian bedside tables feature elegant moulded rectangular tops; this design is also reflected in the plinths. The mahogany bedside tables boast pretty fielded panel doors, decorated with stunning flame mahogany panels. The doors retain the original working brass lever locks, with two keys (one for each bedside). Inside the antique bedside cabinet is a removable shelf. The mahogany bedside tables stand on good top-quality rounded mahogany plinths. These antique bedside cupboards are constructed of good quality mahogany timber imported from the colonies during the Victorian period. Ideal for use in the bedroom as bedsides or lamp tables in the living room. The Victorian nightstand cupboards boasts a rich brown mahogany colour, having been cleaned and French polished by hand in our workshop.

Condition Report:

This is a good quality pair of antique English late Victorian bedside tables, constructed from sold mahogany, circa 1870, with small proportions, in excellent original condition. These Victorian bedside tables have been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the colour and patination of mahogany is of an excellent standard. There are no cup marks to the tops of the bedsides. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and inside the cupboards, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The doors retain the original working brass lever locks, with two keys (one for each bedside) and close flush to the frame. These mahogany bedsides are constructed from good quality solid mahogany; which gives a superb colour and patination. These Victorian bedside tables are solid in joint, they do not wobble and are ready to use.
