Antique Georgian Mahogany Linen Press Wardrobe

19th century
Description

An excellent antique George III period linen press in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around 1790-1810.

The quality is excellent, this is extremely well made and is a great size with lots of storage space. The upper panelled doors contain two deep tray slide shelves, the lower drawers retain the original brass handles. This sits on bracket feet and has a removable cornice that is inlaid with satin wood.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is very good for its age with various small marks and indentations commensurate for age. This has acquired a beautiful patina over the last 200 years or so.

The cornice comes off and the upper section also lifts off the base, so this comes in three pieces for ease of transport.

Width – 49 inches , 124 cm

Depth – 23 inches , 58 cm

We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
