Rare Old Sheffield Plated Argyll / Gravy Warmer C1790

Description

A very rare Old Sheffield Plated argyll / gravy warmer. Bearing no makers mark but dating to c1790-1800. Featuring a removable lid opening to reveal a central hot water reservoir with lid. Having a beautifully slender turned wooden handle which is very firm. Of hexagonal form.

The condition is very good overall with no dents or splits. With only the slightest hint of copper bleed to the raised edges. Very clean interior.

Weight approx 464g.

Height approx 20cm.

Total span approx 19cm.
