Description

This is a very decorative pair of hand painted and lacquered Chinese cabinets with a wonderful distressed designer look. The cabinets are in a most unusual burnt umber colour which has a beautiful warmth and character.

Extremely rare to find as a pair, these date from around 1880 and are in excellent order. The cabinets are in good clean condition inside also, with dark lacquered internal cabinet and a delightful warm red lacquer to the backs of the doors. The cabinets would make a fine pair for alcoves or grand sized bedside cabinets measuring 60cms wide 54 cms deep and 74 cms high.
