Antique Georgian Joined Oak Tack or Hall Cupboard C1780 Wdb6132/15.11

Description

Lovely antique george 111 joined oak tack cupboard and dating from around 1780. It has a slim cornice top above a carved frieze with the initials ' r p ' and 'a c ' above this to the centre . There are two panelled doors with carved panel to the top and with later pierced butterfly hinges and key escutcheon with working key. It stands on stile feet and internally there are a row of brass hooks. It has panelled sides and original plank back and is hand and peg joined.

It is a lovely nut brown oak and in very good condition with deep colour and patination oozing the charm and character of the country oak period.

Measures: 65" high X 13" deep X internal depth 10.5" X 53.5" wide
