Curious Antiques has dated these Gwr Railway Carriage Lamps to the 19th Century.
Both are clearly marked GWR (Great Western Railway) and are beautifully made in brass with copper embellishments. The glass looks to be original with bevelled edges on the larger lamp and a convex glass panel on the other. The larger lamp (on right in first photograph) has its original oil burner. Both are highly decorative and in good original antique condition. There are very minor surface marks, small dents and a tiny chip to the corner of one glass panel, exactly as you would expect from examples of this age. Please refer to the detailed photographs and free to contact me if you would like to view the items or have any questions.
