Carmarthenshire Oak Food Cupboard

Description

Made in Carmarthenshire during the second half of the 18th century, this superb little cupboard was probably used, originally, for food storage. Made entirely from dense, native oak, the shelved interior is enclosed by a pair of doors with crisply moulded fielded panels and affords accessible and generous storage. The rich variety of surface colour is enhanced by an excellent patina. Carmarthenshire circa 1760-80.
