A William IV Silver Magnum Wine Coaster

Description

A William IV silver wine coaster, of circular form with a broad border decorated with an applied rim of flowers over a waisted body divided into eight panels, two with vacant Rococo style cartouches and the remainder with alternating fruit and floral decoration on matted ground, inset with a turned walnut base with a vacant silver button to the centre. London 1833. The maker’s mark is mostly rubbed however it is possibly that of Joseph and Albert Savory.

Condition: Overall very good, the piece is in good condition with one or two minor dents but nothing significant. It has good colour and patination and the base is in good condition.
