Description

A beautifully painted vase with rarer yellow ground , decorated with the three ' friends of winter ' in blue .

Makuzu Kozan was Imperial artist to the Meiji household and probably the most revered of Japanese potters , this is a a fine example of his work .

Excellent condition , no damage or restoration ,

Bears his seal for 1910. Meiji period.
