Magnificent Geo.III silver ewer; of plain vase form with a hinged lid/cover and fruitwood handle. Standing on a raised square pedestal foot and a superb leaf decoration to the handle. The body displays an armorial shield, the arms and crest being that of Hawkins. The hallmarks are well struck and still wonderfully clear. As elegant and as fine a quality as anyone could wish for.
