Antique South Caucasian Moghan Kazak long rug with Memling guls within octagons.
 
Circa 1880.
 
A superb Moghan Kazak long rug with two vertical rows of ''Memling guls'' within multi coloured octagons. The rug has a traditional Caucasian leaf border design which is traditional for rugs from this region.
 
Superb colour derived from good natural dyes and typical Kazak weave.
 
Outstanding condition with slight even wear with good thick pile. Note the original kilim end finishes at both ends.
 
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
 
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
