A superior quality Chinese Fujianese cabinet dating from 1880 .

Red & black lacquer finish , embellished with gold leaf with floral designs & intricate carvings depicting famous Chinese opera scenes .

Two internal drawers with secret compartment .

This spectacular cabinet originates from the Fujian province of China a Wealthy region during the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Gold leaf was originally used on Fujianese furniture to show off the wealth of the original owners .

A distinctive high quality piece in good usable antique condition.
