Regency Mahogany Sabre Leg Foot Stool C1820

Description

This elegant and unusual REGENCY MAHOGANY FOOT STOOL, standing on four outswept sabre legs, dates from circa 1820.

The sweep of the legs is carried on to support a wonderful pair of turned mahogany carrying handles.

As the BLUE PLUSH VELVET (not Dralon) and contrasting scroll gimp work so well, the Stool has not ben freshly upholstered. The Velvet is a lovely rich blue and in good condition.
