George III Mahogany Linen Press

19th century
Description

Circa 1800, George III mahogany linen press. Surmounted by a moulded cornice over a cross banded and beaded frieze. The 2 panel doors are in flamed mahogany and open to the original interior with 3 mahogany fronted slides and unusually a pair of drawers with original swan neck brass handles. The base with 3 ebony inlaid cock beaded drawers, ash linings and unusual turned knobs, all supported on a plinth base.
