The cupboard is divided into two sections; the top section comprises a cupboard with two lovely arcadian fielded panel doors; the interior furnished with an internal central shelf. The left-hand door to the top cupboard retains its original rotating block (to secure the door closed) and the right-hand door retains its original work steel lever lock (with working key). Both top doors retain the original oak knobs. The bottom section incorporates two drawers within a cock-beaded opening. The drawers are constructed with dovetailed joints and are pine lined and feature later, possibly Victorian iron drop handles. The cupboard stands on their original bracket feet. The cupboard has good proportions, which makes it a sought-after size; it was designed to fit into small houses with low ceilings. The cupboard dismantles into two sections for easy transport and access into the house.

Condition Report:

Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. All doors and hinges are in good working order; they close comfortably. The doors retain the original oak knobs and drawers feature later iron drop handles, possibly Victorian in age. The drawers run smoothly, close flush to the frame and retain their original linings. The bracket feet and backboards are also original. The cupboard boasts its original polish and patination and has been cleaned and wax-polished in our workshop, therefore it boasts a stunning colour and patination. The item is solid in joint and stands firm on the ground (it does not wobble).
