Description

A Victorian Jewellery cabinet in the form of a Miniature wardrobe made from solid mahogany with functional lock and key in excellent condition. As you can see the wardrobe has great colour and patina.

The triple dome top with acorn motif carvings with discs in the centre ideal for initials. The large centre door with mirror is flanked by 2 mahogany panels doors raised on a moulded plinth. The door opens to reveal a selection of drawers and compartments which are for Jewellery and watch boxes. The drawers have solid Mahogany fronts with hand cut dovetail joints and wonderful turned handles.

This miniature wardrobe is either a very high quality apprentice piece of perhaps a 'trade sample' either way construction being of superb quality & detail, no doubt the work of a highly skilled cabinet maker a wonderful display piece and also a very usable jewellery or trinkets cabinet.
