Jewellery Box As A Miniature Chest Of Drawers

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Waterfall Antiques

A charming example of a 19th century jewellery box in the form of a miniature chest of drawers. This delightful piece is made in mahogany with solid hardwood drawer linings having delicate dovetail joints - always a good sign of quality. It retains all six of its original knobs, and its original backing boards and plain plinth base. It has a number of different potential uses: a general trinket cabinet, a small sewing-implements case, or a jewellery box. It is English, dating from c.1880s with an original finish and a good colour.
