Edwardian wall lights from the early twentieth century are characterised by light, graceful proportions and classical decorative motifs. Influenced by Georgian and Neoclassical revival styles, they often feature symmetrical twin arms, reeded detailing, and foliate backplates.

Authentic period pieces exhibit heavy cast brass construction rather than lightweight stamped metal. Look for hand-finished casting seams, original threaded joinery, and natural surface patination around recesses and backplates.

Twin-arm brass sconces are ideal for flanking a hallway mirror, framing artwork, or positioning on either side of a fireplace alcove. They provide ambient background illumination while adding classic architectural character to contemporary schemes.

Dust regularly with a dry, lint-free microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or chemical polishes if the brass retains an original lacquer or natural patina, and ensure all electrical wiring is inspected by a qualified electrician before installation.
