Antique Georgian Oak Full Height Corner Cupboard on Stand C1780 Wdb250/5.4

18th century
Description

Lovely antique george 111 country oak full height corner cabinet and dating form around 1780. It has a cornice top with dental moulding and a raised pedament to the centre which is an unusual feature of the cupboard. This is above a single panelled door with original ornate brass handle and key escutcheon with original lock and key and with original brass 'h' hinges. Internally there is a hanging rail and brass hooks which are later victorian . It has reeded sides and it is moulded to the base with a shaped and carved frieze with pierced heart to the centre and joined by cabriole legs on a pad foot.

In very good condition with a lovely deep nut brown colour and patination to the oak oozing the charm and character of the georgian period.

Measures: 83" to pedament top X 26" deep X side depth 25" X 32" wide
