Description

A 17th century dated and initialed oak court cupboard of small proportions. The cupboard consists of three carved interlaced panels , a pattern which is commonly found in Westmorland furniture and a carved interlaced fern leaf top rail initialed I.B and dated 1678 . The typical door formation of Westmorland cupboards can be found in this piece and internally the boarding is original to the cupboard.

A great example of Westmorland furniture with a pleasing colour and surface.
