Description

Pair of Paris porcelain vases, probably Jacob Petit, c. 1840. The elaborately modelled vases, having rococo scroll and flower moulded panels, finely painted with Summer flowers. All upon a black and turquoise ground, decorated with raised gilt decoration of scrolls, swags and flowers. Having elaborate scroll handles, terminating in gilt dogs heads, beneath the gilt scroll and shell moulded rim.

Set upon similarly moulded and decorated seperate bases, with scroll feet.

Height - 38.5 cm, 15 1/8”.

Width - 27.5 cm, 10 7/8”.

Depth - 14.5 cm, 5 3/4”.

Condition - Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
