Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
Complete with working lock and key, inside is a large hanging space which could easily be shelved if desired. To the antique oak cupboard base are three short drawers which are faux, this is a common design on these press cupboards to allow a longer hanging space. Under the faux drawers are two drawers over one long drawer, these are fully working drawers. All have the original turned handles. In very good, solid and period condition with panelled sides and standing on bracket feet. Very well made using dense, heavy Welsh timbers, dates form around 1790.
