Fox Hunting Tumbler C1800

Description

Tumbler engraved Tom Noel Fox Hunter and on the base Tally,O with a running fox.  English C1800.

The base engraved in reverse to enable it to be read when emptying the glass.

Tom Noel is recorded as being the first Master of the Cottesmore Hunt 1732 - 1788.

Condition: Very good with no chips, cracks or restoration.

Width top: 7.8 cm.

Width base: 6.1 cm.

Note: A similar glass engraved Tom Noel Fox Hunter is in The Corning Museum of Glass.
