A beautiful, very honest 18th century Welsh antique oak food cupboard. a rare model and in fabulous, period condition.
To the front is are three panels, the top of each has a lovely, open row of fruitwood turned spindles. The central door hangs on period iron H hinges and is complete with a wooden handle and working lock and key. Inside is a single oak storage shelf. This rare Georgian Welsh antique food cupboard stands on slender turned front legs that have a scribed, line decoration with square back legs, the sides are well panelled and the whole piece is traditionally made with pegged construction. Entirely in period oak except the lovely fruitwood spindles, in excellent, correct condition and being a wonderful, original colour. A fabulous rare piece of Welsh vernacular furniture.
