French 2 Door Armoire

19th century
Description

Circa 1800, French carved cherrywood 2 door armoire. The rectangular shaped wardrobe has a moulded frame with a frieze with foliate carving and brass studs across the facings. With 2 large doors with classic large engraved escutcheons on both sides, large brass and steel hinges, and a well carved panel to each with a design of a vase of flowers. The apron beneath has further carving and brass studs, with panelled sections to the sides and it stands on bracket feet.
