Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Place the bottle on a tray alongside vanity items, or position it within a curated display on a sideboard or bookshelf. Combining cut glass with brass or dark wood elements highlights the reflective textures of the piece.

Clean the glass body using warm water and mild soap, ensuring liquid does not submerge the silver components. Polish the silver mount lightly with a soft silver cloth to prevent excessive tarnish while protecting detailed engravings.

Authentic late Victorian silver mounts generally feature British hallmarks stamped on the collar or cap, indicating the maker, silver purity standard, assay office, and date letter. The cut glass base should show evidence of hand-cutting or age-appropriate wear on the underside.

These items typically feature hand-cut lead crystal or heavy glass paired with sterling silver caps or collars. The silver mounts were often crafted using repousse or chasing techniques to create detailed relief patterns.

Victorian silver-mounted miniature glass bottles were portable containers crafted during the late 19th century, frequently designed to hold perfume, smelling salts, or spirits. These pieces functioned both as practical personal accessories and as decorative items displayed on dressing tables or sideboards.
