Caucasian Kuba rugs are hand-knotted textiles originating from the northeastern Caucasus region, produced primarily during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. They are characterized by fine knotting, low-cut pile, and complex geometric field designs surrounded by multiple detailed borders.
