Here we have a wonderful and rare example of a George III Mahogany and Oak spice cabinet c1780. As you can see the cabinet has outstanding colour and patina. The carcass is made from the finest Mahogany testament to how highly valued spices were at that time. The flat top has super colour with a beautiful moulded pediment. The single door is perfectly constructed with a fielded panel. The real beauty of the carcass is the wonderful bracket foot base which is akin in its execution to the finest chests of drawers of the period. This high quality cabinet is just as much of a treat on the inside with an arrangement of Oak drawers with original brass button handles. The drawers are Oak lined and have fine hand cut dovetail joints. The drawers also retain the original Georgian paper lining. This is undoubtedly a cabinet maker made cabinet of the highest quality and in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 17.5 inches wide 20 high and 10 deep.
