A Rare Good Japanese Imari Bottle Vase, Circa 1700

Description

For sale this good Japanese Imari Bottle vase dating from around 1700. The rounded body with a tall narrow neck. Painted in underglaze blue, iron red, green, aubergine and gold. The body divided into three panels of prunus, bamboo, and other foliage, with rocks and trees. The neck with ascending leaves in underglaze blue and iron red. Size 23.7cm tall by approx. 12.5cm wide. Drill hole to base top of neck with professional restoration. Because of the shape and nature of the delicate neck on this type of ware, they nearly always suffer some damage.
