The Antique Partnership has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
More research is required on the armorials and styles of the vases to ascertain their origin and use. The smaller vases have simple stub handles with lions mask decoration below. The higher vases have scroll decoration to the stub handles (see photographs). The type of handle would suggest lifting from the ground upwards rather than pouring.

They are extremely decorative and very interesting. They are comparatively heavy and coarse in their construction....definitely hand made but the decoration is well executed.

Pair two 29 cm high and 24 cm max in diameter.
