A beautiful and top quality 19th Century French marquetry inlaid pier cabinet. The unusual figured thuya wood inlaid with floral marquetry panels set against ebony back grounds and outlined with boxwood stringing. The cabinet is further enhanced with good quality ormolu mounts and has a rouge variegated marble top. The whole raised on a shaped plinth with outline stringing and further ormolu mounts. This attractive side cabinet is in superb original condition with working lock & keys stamped Paul Keul of St Antoine, Paris. The interior with 2 shelves and has been fully cleaned & waxed.
