The right door retains its original brass strip (a sign of quality) and brass locking mechanism. The right-hand door features the original working lever lock (with working key). The two doors open up to reveal an open storage area, fitted with a hanging pole, for coat hangers. Below, is a bank of graduated drawers, comprising a two-over-three configuration. The drawer fronts are decorated with mahogany cross-banding and cock-beading.

The linen press is raised on its original splayed feet (which is rare to see, as these are usually replaced with changing fashions or get damaged over time) and is adorned with an elegant ebonized fleur-di-lis motif. The linen press also features the original backboards. The linen press dismantles into two sections (top and base) allowing easy access up the staircase into the bedroom.

The drawer fronts are decorated with old period replacement Regency brass oval handles & back plates. The key escutcheons, along with the original brass lever locks (with working key) are all original. The press is raised on its original top-quality splayed feet (which is rare to see, as these are usually replaced with changing fashions or get damaged over time). The linen press also features the original backboards. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
