Technical Description
An 18th century glass salt. The cup bowl is decorated with diamond moulding and an applied orange glass rim. This is supported by a stem featuring an annulated knop. A conical foot with a rough pontil completes the piece.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time Robert Burns'' song ''Scots Wha Hae'' was published in the Morning Chronicle on the 8th of May 1794.
