Pair Of Scottish William IV Figured Elm Bedside Cabinets, C.1830

An unusual pair of Scottish William IV figured elm bedside cabinets or cupboards dating to circa 1830. Each with a square top with ledge back and double moulded edge above a front displaying narrow panelled edges flanking a fielded panelled door with re-entrant corners and on a plinth base. The interior with two dovetailed drawers above a useful cupboard space, with original brass fittings including a side lock and ‘Horne Patent’ hinges.
 
In good condition and designed in attractive and exceptionally well figured elm veneers to the front and top, minor marks consistent with age.
