Interestingly, there is a label inside the lid, which states: "This article is guaranteed to be part of the prize, ex "Tantallon" captured by the British Fleet and sold by order of H.M. Admiralty Marshal. Alexandria in the year 1916". Kangxi, mid 19th century or earlier? 22ins high; 15ins diameter.
