Description

This is an impressive pair of large Japanese Satsuma vases in perfect condition dating from the late Meiji period, circa 1870. The imposing vases are expertly hand painted with Immortals and Samurai entwined by large mythical dragons in the familiar Satsuma palette. The vases both are clearly signed in a lozenge stamp to the bases. The vases are a good size measuring 33 cms high by in 19 cms in diameter and are in excellent original order with no damage or restoration.
