Description

Unusual Shoolbred Figured Oak Antique Cupboard

Stamped by the renowned cabinet makers JAS Schoolbred & Co London and dating from around 1920, this unusual cupboard has a beautifully figured moulded top above two oak lined drawers with the original brass handles. The two cupboard doors have moulded panels, original handles and keys with working locks and each interior has one removable shelf. This super piece stands on turned bun feet and is full of beautiful charm and character. The oak has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
