About the Date of Manufacture

These antiques were produced in the era of King Edward VII (1901-1910). This was a period in history when Great Britain was at its apogee of power and wealth. The British Empire at its height was the largest empire in history and, for over a century, had been the foremost global power. By 1913 the British Empire held sway over 412 million people, nearly a quarter of the world population at the time, and the Royal Navy was the most powerful navy in the world. This wonderful pair of antique vases well represent the confidence and strength of this particular era.
