Superb Chippendale Period Mahogany Linen Press

Description

A superb 18th century linen press with all the hallmarks of the Chippendale workshops,. This beautiful piece of furniture made using the finest highly figured Mahogany with beautifully English Oak lined drawers and slides. The panelled doors open to reveal 4 original slides. The drawers all retaining the original heavy gauged lacquered brass handles, locks and escutcheons. Raised on shaped oversized bracket feet. Having a panelled back to both the top and bottom section with red wash to underside and internal block feet. Wonderful colour and patination throughout. English, Circa 1760
