Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It has a moulded cornice above two cupboard doors each with raised fielded panels and the original brass key escutcheon. The interior has an oak shelf and most of the original hand carved hanging pegs. The lower section has a moulded edge above a fielded panel front. Beneath lie three oak lined drawers with re instated decorative brass handles and the piece as a whole stands on shaped bracket feet and splits into two sections for easy removal. The oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
