Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It has a moulded cornice above two beautifully figured cupboard doors with moulded and crossbanded edges, circular turned motifs and key with working lock. The interior comprises of five mahogany lined sliding linen trays and the lower section has two over two graduating mahogany lined cock beaded drawers with re instated decorative brass handles. This quality antique stands on moulded shaped bracket feet and splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
