A very handsome William IV linen press.
c1830.
With the most wonderful figuring and rich golden, nut brown colour and patination to the mahogany.
The panels have carved detailing to each corner. The doors open to reveal five mahogany fronted slides. The slides each open smoothly.
Below is a chest of four drawers-two short and two long. The doors have their original lock and key, as does the chest of drawers, which is quite unusual for this age of furniture, as usually keys are so often lost.
The drawers are pine lined.
All the original iron locks are present. With replaced brass handles to the drawers, which are age and style correct.
Standing on turned wooden feet.
Very easy to move as it can be dismantled into three sections.
The condition overall is excellent antique condition,with general expected signs of use consistent with age.
The dimensions are taken at highest, widest, deepest points.
