Early C18th Japanese Imari Pattern Composite Garniture of 5 Vases.

Early C18th Japanese Imari pattern composite garniture of 5 vases.

Smart mantelpiece garniture comprised of 3 lidded bulbous-bodied vases and a pair of sleeve or beaker vases. The possibly associated lids each with a Foo or Lion dog finial .

Each vase decorated in typical Imari pattern and colour palette of deep colbalt and ink blue hues with iron red and gilt highlights upon a pale background.

All in excellent original condition with no damage or repairs.

Would work well on a mantle or atop a pediment .

Exotic Japanese Imari of this period was a staple content of the English Country home decorative scheme with its vibrant colours and designs.
