18th Cent Welsh Oak Press Cupboard

Description

A lovely original oak press cupboard, probably Welsh and dating from the late 18th Cent. The top section has two fielded panel doors with original lock and key. It has retained all its original internal wooden hooks and is fitted with a useful modern hanging rail. To the base are two short drawers and one long drawer. These are oak lined and have most of their original swan neck handles (one a period replacement). It comes in two parts for transport.

The press has retained its original finish and is a lovely colour. It is in excellent original condition but has had two small square holes cut in the back boards for some reason.

The maximum dimensions are:

195cm (77") high

52cm (20.5") deep
