Large Japanese Arita Porcelain Vase Meiji Period

Description

This is a beautifully detailed hand painted Japanese Arita ware porcelain vase which dates from the late 19th century. The large and imposing vase has a lovely clean look to the attractive glaze and has a great shape with slender neck and crimped rim. The vase, which is a lovely rich royal blue and white, is in super order (tiny hairline to the rim, formed in the glaze under firing). The substantial vase stands 51 cms high and is 21 cms in diameter and is in excellent condition.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
