English 19th Century Painted Pine Pitched Food Hutch.

This is one of the best, 19th century English antqiue food hutches we have had in stock. In the original paint finish, the antique food cupboard features a superb, slatted, pitched roof with metal mesh on all sides. In side is a single shelf with original iron hanging hooks up in the eaves. Designed to be used to keep foods away from insects back in the 19th century. Could be used again as a food pantry, but could be a useful and unusual antique cupboard for other rooms. Love it!
