George III Mahogany Corner Cupboard

Description

An attractive George III Cuban mahogany hanging or standing corner cupboard. The 2 arched doors with wonderful fielded panels and original "H" shaped brass hinges, with ivory escutcheon and turned wooden handle. The moulded cornice with a cross banded frieze and an attractive ebony, boxwood and stained wood inlaid detail. The canted corners with brass fixing plates and the whole standing on the original ogee bracket feet. The interior consists of 3 shaped pine shelves and 3 mahogany faced drawers. With lock and keys.

Very good mahogany used in the making of this corner cupboard and it has a wonderful rich patina. Fully cleaned and waxed.
